Terms of Use
Last updated: October 18, 2026
The short version: buying a key lets your household read the books it unlocks, on a few devices, for as long as the library exists. Please don't share your key or copy the books. Refunds are explained on the refund policy page.
These terms are an agreement between you and Puzzle Story Library (“the library”, “we”, “us”), based in New Jersey, USA. By using the library or buying a key, you agree to them. If you're buying for a child, you agree on their behalf. Only adults (18 or older) may buy keys.
1. The free books
Some books are free to read. You may use them for your own family's reading, and teachers may use them with their own class.
2. What a key gives you
- A license key unlocks the books named in your purchase (one series, or the whole library).
- It is a personal license for one household: the people who live with you may read and play the books.
- A key works on a limited number of devices. The number is shown on the product page, and is usually 3. “Remove this device” on the unlock page frees a place for a new device.
- You may print pages from the books (such as bonus pages or certificates) for your own household.
- You're buying a license to use the books, not the books themselves. All stories, puzzles, artwork and code remain ours, and copying them is not allowed except as these terms allow.
3. Schools, classrooms and groups
A household key doesn't cover a classroom, school, library, tutoring business or club. For group use, email us at [email protected] about a classroom license.
4. What you may not do
- Share your key publicly, give it to people outside your household, or sell it.
- Copy, download, republish or resell the books, puzzles, answers or artwork, or use them to make other products.
- Try to get around the lock, guess keys, or overload or attack the site.
If a key is shared publicly, refunded or charged back, or used against these terms, we may switch it off.
5. Children and safety
The books are made for children with a grown-up nearby. Some puzzles suggest simple activities, such as drawing, counting, measuring or looking outside. Please supervise these as you would any children's activity book.
6. Keeping the library running
- We work to keep the library online and the books working in current web browsers. We can't promise the site will never be interrupted.
- We may improve or fix books over time. We won't take away a book you've paid for, except where the law requires it.
- If we ever close the library, we will tell buyers at least 60 days in advance and give them a way to keep reading their books, such as printable PDFs.
7. Payment and refunds
Payments are handled by our payment provider, which is named on your receipt and acts as the seller of record. It may also have terms that apply to your purchase. Prices are shown before you pay. See our refund policy for when you can get a refund.
8. Disclaimer
We provide the library “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
9. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to the library is no more than the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA. If you live outside the United States, you also keep any consumer rights that your local law gives you.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't take away anything you've already paid for.
